Creating an asset for our community by preserving our history.
The mission and purpose of the Historical Association of Princeville shall be to collect and preserve artifacts relating to the history of Princeville, Illinois and surrounding communities including Monica, Laura, Edelstein, and Lawn Ridge. The Historical Association of Princeville uses the Princeville Heritage Museum and the Akron Townhouse School as the setting to inform visitors and local residents regarding Princeville’s proud heritage.
Through displays, programs, and events at the museum, the Historical Association of Princeville will strive to increase interest and in not only Princeville’s past but the history of our nation. The museum will be the site for local research and preservation of historical data and items.

We do not charge an admission fee,
however, we rely on the generosity of our visitors to remain open.
